Westminster Health Trainers

Improving Health, Changing Lives. Westminster Health Trainers provide free and practical one-to-one support and motivation for people living in the London borough of Westminster.

What are Westminster Health Trainers?

Funded by NHS Westminster and coordinated by Living Well and the Rain Trust, Westminster Health Trainers provide a free service for Westminster residents who need support to improve their health and wellbeing.

Health trainers are local people who are qualified to support others in their community to make healthier lifestyle choices such as taking up regular exercise, eating a healthier diet, giving up smoking, drinking less alcohol or reducing stress levels.

How does it work?

Over six one-to-one sessions, a health trainer will work with you to develop a Personal Health Plan, which you design together to identify the areas of your health you want to improve and the actions you have to take to achieve your goals.

Health trainers also provide you with relevant information, practical advice and motivational support as well as directing you to other appropriate local Westminster services that can offer additional help.
