National Long Term Survivors Group’s upcoming “Living Proof Weekend Retreat”

The main activity of National Long Term Survivors Group is the organising of the “Living Proof” weekend retreats. The weekends provide a safe, relaxed place to meet other people who have also been living with HIV and AIDS for five or more years.

A programme of activities is arranged for each weekend – group workshops, one-to-one counselling, complementary therapies – but it is entirely up to each person who attends the weekends as to whether they take part or not in these activities. Many people find the company and ability to talk freely about HIV, as well as many other issues, provides the greatest benefit. If you would like to attend a ‘Living Proof’ weekend, you have to be aged 18 or over, and have been diagnosed HIV+ for five or more years.

Get in touch with National Long Term Survivors by phone, email or post, and they will take your details and send you a booking form for the next weekend. You need to complete your booking form and return it to them, together with payment or confirmation of how your place will be paid for. At this point, you will be contacted by a member of the group to check your details and to make sure that you meet the criteria for membership. Your place at the weekend is then confirmed.

The next dates are for 5 – 7 July 2013. To find out more please contact write to: National Long Term Survivors, BM LTSG, London, WC1N 3XX or email at mail@nltsg.org.uk or phone on 07967 430 797 or go to www.nltsg.org.uk to find out more.
